Another painting process post? Yeah, because why the hell not! This time starring the only queen that I'll ever bow down to (well, except for maybe Marina,) – Buttercup the Sloth!
As in my previous process post regarding painting Ziggy, I feel that taking the time to really get to grips with my watercolours has helped me to understand the medium more and actually improved my skills somewhat. Practice makes way for improvement – who'd have thought it, eh?! However with every silver lining comes a cloud, and in this it's definitely the foliage. I salute anyone who can a) accurately paint it, and b) enjoys painting it, because i absolutely cannot stand trying to get all the little leafy greens right. Perhaps more practice will remedy it?
I have been following you for so, so long but you manage to make me fall in love with your paintings more and more every time I see one. I love seeing the process and how the final painting came to life. much love! X

DeleteThis is such a beautiful painting! I love your style and I love the fact that it's visible in your doodles as well as in your 'full-grown' paintings. :)

thank you! i'm really pleased that you think so, i always struggle with viewing my work as a cohesive collective, so that means a lot to hear :)
