A *Little* Bit of News

If you're a frequent reader of my blog you'll know that it's been a few months now since I was first contacted to ask if agency representation was something I'd be interested in, and I'm delighted to now announce that I'm represented by the lovely people at Advocate Art!

While my portfolio on their website is currently incomplete and is still being updated with all the illustrations that I've sent over to them, I was asked to create an illustration to feature in their calendar that they send out every year to their offices all around the world. The illustration could be of absolutely anything that I wanted, and seeing as I've had a thing for doodling bears as of late I cooked up an idea based around one. Because my last process post seemed to prove pretty popular, I thought I'd again document my process while creating this illo.

(A Weary) Hello, September

We're 2 days into September and already I feel bogged under by all the 'Hello September/Autumn' posts – what is wrong with all you folk seemingly being so glad to see the back of summer?! For me, September's a sad time because it marks the end of summer, and the beginning of what feels like a lifetime of dark mornings and cold, rainy days.

winter florals

hat: h&m
dress: h&m
blouse: charity shop
necklaces: ebay
coat: ebay
boots: ebay

i find the easiest way to keep warm while making good use of the majority of your wardrobe is to layer everything up with a good collared shirt, and today's post is no exception to that. florals look good all year round, however some colours and styles are more suited to the colder months than others, and when i spotted this gem in h&m for £8 i knew i'd found the perfect floral winter dress. i say dress, it's intended to be an oversized shirt, but by being cautious while sitting and standing it's easy to make work as a dress! thrown on with some red lippy and my trusty bowler hat, this outfit works a treat for adding a little bit of life to what can otherwise be dull winter outfits.
